The patented Monotube gas charged design allows the excessive heat built up in the oil to transfer to the outer surface of the shock body to dissipate more efficiently.The dividing piston also permits the oil to expand as the heat builds up, preventing unwanted aeration.

Quality construction is necessary to achieve great handling, and at Koni, quality is built into every part. For starters, only the finest grade materials are good enough for a Koni shock absorber and are machined from solid metal bar stock to aircraft tolerances. Koni piston rods are induction-hardened and hard chromed up to 10-microns and then polished to a micro-finish that is unsurpassed by other manufacturers. Koni pistons and the inner working cylinder through which they operate have their dimensions so closely matched that piston rings are unnecessary. The materials used for the piston and the drawn seamless inner cylinder are thermally matched to expand at the same rate when working temperatures rise during normal operations. But Koni quality doesn't stop when the last part is made. Each completely assembled Koni shock is put through an individual quality control test program to guarantee the accuracy, balance, quality and long-life. NEUSPEED’s R&D staff has worked extensively for many years with Koni engineers developing specialized products for your car. This extra attention to detail allows us to offer you the very best quality shocks with special valving, external damping adjustability and adjustable ride heights for your specific car and your specific style of driving.

Developed by NEUSPEED Race Engineering, and working with Koni engineers, we have developed a fully externally adjustable gas shock absorber for Acura and Honda cars. These shocks are exclusive to NEUSPEED and fully adjustable in seconds with just the turn of a knob. The NEUSPEED/ Koni shocks also feature an adjustable front and rear spring perch to level the car – the most desirable handling position. These shocks may be used with stock springs, NEUSPEED lowering springs, or NEUSPEED race springs for the ultimate in ride and handling. The easy external adjustment provides the best ride for daily use, or quickly tuned for competition at any time.

Koni’s division in Germany designs and builds special spring and shock absorber kits featuring threaded, adjustable lower spring perches (where applicable) and progressive rate lowering springs. These Autobahn tested kits are available in limited quantities, and carry the same comprehensive warranty offered on regular Koni shocks and struts.
